For a temporary Work Visa/Permit to be approved the New Zealand Immigration Service has the following requirements:

Visas/Permits - for seasonal work in the areas of
either horticulture or viticulture There are 4000 places available annually for people who would like to come to New Zealand to work in the high season for both horticulture or viticulture.
NOTE: Where NZIS has identified that there is a demand for workers in these industries in particular regions, work permits approved will be endorsed with conditions allowing work in those regions only. To be approved under this policy you must meet the following requirements:
